Quilting with labels for QuiltX

Quilt Xtravaganza is an annual fall quilt show in St. Marys, Ontario. This year, the talented Johanna Masko provided us with a new and exciting quilt pattern. Along with the other vendors, we were given the opportunity to make a quilt with Johanna’s fabulous pattern. We were encouraged to make the pattern our own and represent our company however we wanted, and we did just that.

The labels of Soak products are our favourite part about the packaging. The transparent eye-catching colours paired with a classic design create an everlasting package that everyone loves. Luckily Jacqueline (our Director of Possibilities) kept rolls of old Soak labels around, just waiting for the perfect project.

Soak decided to take a non-traditional route to make this quilt, and used the given template to interpret the pattern with a paper piecing/label collage style. The labels that are shown are old versions of our current scents, custom fragrances, as well as those scents that have gone into retirement. This quilt takes the unique essence of Soak and displays it for all to see. While it might not be the most comfortable quilt to snuggle up with, it certainly does a good job of showing everyone who we are.
